More than 190 homes in Penrith were without electricity last night after a substation in the town burst into flames.
It was reported that the substation on Huntley Road ‘exploded and was on fire’ at around 7.30pm.
Electricity North West say the incident was reported to it at about 7.30pm and staff were on site to work on the issue.
Power to the 193 households affected was restored at around 9.50pm.
