A woman has been arrested for supplying cannabis in Eden.
Eden neighbourhood police officers PC Newman and PC Stephenson arrested the woman, who is in her 40s, on Thursday at an address at High Bankhill, near Kirkoswald, for being concerned in the supply of cannabis.
She has since been released under investigation.
A spokesman for police said that while they were conducting a section 32 PACE search of the woman’s home they found cannabis within it and on another person also present at the address.
The spokesman added: “Whilst on the way to custody a vehicle that was being driven came to their attention. The vehicle was stopped and the driver arrested for driving over the legal limit for alcohol.
“On Friday, with the help of colleagues from the special constabulary, the officers arrested a male who failed a roadside drug wipe for cannabis. He also had cannabis in his possession.
“During Saturday’s shift they arrested a male who was wanted on a court warrant and issued a summons (court) to a driver that had no insurance and a drivers licence.”
