People had to be released from their vehicles by a fire crew following a collision on the A66 at Stainmore yesterday.
The fire service was called at around 11.30am and two fire engines attended.
One casualty was left in the care of the North West Ambulance Service.
The fire service was in attendance for around an hour and 10 minutes.
