Plans to celebrate the Queen’s platinum jubilee in Penrith needs you!
Penrith Town Council has taken on Annabel Candler, of Creativise Events, to co-ordinate the event on Saturday, June 4.
Annabel said: “If every Penrith business and group got involved with an event like this, imagine the atmosphere and community spirit!
“We wish to create an inclusive community driven event which honour’s the Queen’s impressive reign whilst featuring what our area does best. I am trying to share the opportunity with every business, performer, charity and community group with the hope that we highlight what’s here. Lets show off the fabulous and creative plus entice guests to roam and explore the town!”
The event looks to have local bands and performers in areas of the town centre plus crafts and activities for every generation.
Organisations such as Soroptimists, EVAN and Penrith Library are taking part and QR trails, sketch artists, local bands, poetry, dancing and seed planting are being planned.
Annabel said: “I have been involved with many wonderful events over the years and relish getting as many people to benefit as I can. It not only makes a varied day but helps emphasise their wonderful endeavours and skills to an engaged and upbeat audience.”
This event is looking for anyone who wishes to offer a special offer, fundraising activity, food or picnic promotion or live performance.
The deadline for offers is April 14. To be involved contact Annabel at annabel@creativiseevents.co.uk
