Penrith’s Marks & Spencer Foodhall was forced to close due to a power cut.
The King Street outlet had a sign on the door informing customers it was shut yesterday, Monday, November 6.
Electricity North West said 391 properties were affected by the outage, caused by an unexpected incident on the high voltage cable.
It was reported at around 11.50am and the firm said it was resolved by 4.25pm.
