Penrith’s popular George Hotel is planning to temporarily close from December 23 to January 3, due to the Government’s coronavirus restrictions.
It has already temporarily stopped serving food and drink, and is only serving lighter breakfasts for residents.
The temporary closure may change, the hotel said, if Government restrictions change.
A statement on social media website from general manager Dave Hobson said: “We have not taken this decision lightly however with the latest, extremely difficult restrictions now confirmed, we feel this is the most sensible option and within the best interest for both our employees and guests.
“From all of us at The George Hotel, Penrith, please stay safe and thank you, for your continued support.”
