A Cumbrian outdoors supply store has been taken over.
Amanda Ingram and Paul Moran have taken over Hamilton’s Outdoor Living & Landscape Supplies. on Blamire Road in Penrith, for an undisclosed sum.
Paul and Amanda, who live in Penrith, have been in the industry for 32 years and run their own businesses – Hummingbird Garden Design and Bespoke Landscapes and Builds.
Amanda said: “Having found my passion for gardens and landscapes, training and working as a garden designer has been a dream. I’m thrilled to be taking on this new challenge alongside Paul. We’ll now be helping landscapers, other designers, and individuals achieve and realise dream outdoor spaces.
“A well-designed and built outdoor space suited to your individual needs creates an extension of your home. We love being part of that creative journey.”
Paul added: “Landscaping has been a really rewarding career for me, building gardens for many happy clients. When the opportunity arose to extend my passion for landscaping by acquiring Hamilton’s Outdoor Living, I jumped at the opportunity.
“Providing a space where the industry can collaborate, learn and grow, and clients can come and view a range of products dedicated to outdoor living is fantastic and something I am proud to be a part of.”
The duo has worked on significant garden and landscaping projects for various clients, from expansive private gardens to education settings and commercial clients. They will continue to design and build offering the whole service and collaborating with others in the industry.
Both new owners also want to strengthen their relationships with local schools and colleges in the North to inspire and educate future landscape professionals, keeping the industry growing with new talent.
Outgoing owner and founder Alan Hamilton, who set up the business, said: “I am delighted to hand my business over to such a passionate couple in the industry. I look forward to watching them grow, and I’m excited for their journey.
