Penrith’s Ghyllmount Dental Practice is taking action to reduce waiting times by expanding into the premises next door.
Patients have been told in a letter from the dentist that their concerns over waiting times have been listened to.
The letter states: “We are delighted to announce the expansion of Ghyllmount into the premises previously occupied by David Allens accountants.
“This will provide two additional surgeries, a relocated phone suite with additional phone lines and a treatment co-ordinator room.”
A new telephone system has also been installed.
The letter adds: “We have been actively recruiting new team members and we are pleased to announce additional hygienist capacity, as well as increased hours from our specialist and special interest dentists.
“We are actively continuing to try to recruit an additional general dentist to reduce waiting times further.
“We are sorry to lose Anna Crosland who is retiring, but we are pleased to announce the arrival of Anna Kayani as her replacement.”
