A Penrith man has been remanded in custody after pleading guilty to committing three burglaries on Monday.
Michael John Torrance (36), Norfolk Road, appeared in the dock at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
He pleaded guilty to entering the Bungalows, Salt Cottage, Penrith, with intent to steal on 19th October, also entering a farm outbuilding at Stoneybeck and stealing a Stihl chainsaw worth £300; and entering Salt Cottage, Maidenhill, where he stole a Stihl hedge cutter, leaf blower and hacksaw.
Torrance was committed for sentence at Carlisle Crown Court on 24th November and was remanded in custody until the hearing.
