Penrith venue The Loose Moose is under new management and is inviting the Eden public to check out its fresh look, latest menus and vibrant line-up of events.
With a revamped, brighter interior, and a choice of offerings ranging from teas and light bites, to full on party discos, The Loose Moose, in Little Dockray, aims to provide a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community but is providing an atmosphere where all are welcome, says Pip (Philip) Anthony Brown, the new deputy manager at the venue.
He told the Herald: “We have got brand new staff. We have got new events. Last night we had bingo and it went really, really well. We have karaoke and every Saturday we have a disco, with different types of music for people to enjoy.”
The bar/venue, which held its relaunch party last week, offers a series of events including live music acts, jam sessions and even has a popular drag artist lined up.
In June, nationally known drag star Terry Tour will be bringing a sprinkling of glamour and song to Penrith with her show, which promises powerhouse vocals and a knock out repertoire.
“We are an LGBTQ+ friendly venue but we are inclusive and here for everyone. Everyone is invited and it is a space for everyone to come and enjoy,” said Pip.
The Loose Moose is also offering afternoon teas, from 12pm-5pm on Sundays which are proving popular. It provides a kids’ menu, breakfasts and a main menu. Food is available seven days a week, with a new evening menu set to be launched.
