Firefighters from Penrith and Lazonby were called out to help rescue a horse who had become stuck in his stable.
Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service was called at around 10.05am yesterday, March 26, to the incident. Three fire engines attended.
The service said: “On arrival crews were informed that the horse had been stuck on the floor in his stable unable to get himself back up.
“Crews worked closely alongside the vets, and horse owners using specialist equipment to get the horse outside into his paddock and back onto his feet. We wish the horse a full speedy recovery.”
