Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team will benefit from an online auction hosted by 1818 Auctioneers on Sunday (2nd July).
A number of lots will be auctioned, with the proceeds going towards mountain rescue funds.
Highlights include a photographic print of a 23,901ft mountain called The Ogre. It was taken from the west summit of Karakoram, Himalaya, and donated by Sir Chris Bonington, who climbed it.
There is also an original pen and ink drawing of Aira Force by Alfred Wainwright.
Ken Hardcastle, chair of fundraising for the team, said: “We are enormously grateful for the donation of all the lots set for auction. We are especially grateful to Sir Chris, because it is through the support of high-profile figures like
him that we are able to raise the profile of our events, the proceeds of which go towards saving lives.”
