Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of public order which occurred yesterday morning on the A6 between Penrith and Eamont Bridge.
It was reported that a man, who was walking on the pavement, then ran up to a vehicle stopped at the traffic lights and made an offensive hand signal towards a woman in her car.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with dashcam footage, to get in touch with them.
A police spokesman said: “Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 41 of 23rd November. “Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
