Two members of staff from Biggins Nursery are taking over the business from April 1.
Deputy managers Julie Procter, Great Musgrave, and Keeley Morland, Tebay, are taking the helm at the Old School building in Ravenstonedale as managing directors.
Julie and Keeley have worked there for many years, getting to know all the parents and children who attend.
Sam Alderson, who currently owns Biggins Nursery Ltd, will be stepping down after many years to focus on her other nursery, Shinning Stars in Appleby.
Julie and Keeley said they were thankful for everything Sam and her husband Martyn had done for the business and looked forward to continuing their success.
The nursery will be renamed Dinky Dales Nursery Ltd and Julie and Keeley plan to keep its ethos as an integral part of the community.
The pair are already making their mark, by setting up a gardening area where children can develop their skills and knowledge about the outdoors.
Julie, 23, has a degree in children, schools and families and has previously worked in various educational settings.
Keeley, 22, has a level three diploma in children, learning and development and has worked at Biggins Nursery for seven years.
The pair say they plan to use their knowledge and experience to promote development and enjoyment for all children and staff and that Dinky Dales will be “a very special nursery, where we provide a caring and safe environment where all children can build their imagination and resilience through exploration and play.”
The nursery welcomes children aged 0 to five years and is Ofsted registered, following the Early Years Foundation Stage.
