A man has died following a collision on the A66.
The incident, which is understood to have involved a car and a lorry, happened yesterday between Warcop and Brough at around 3.30pm.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service’s Pride of Cumbria air ambulance was in attendance.
The road was closed for several hours.
It is understood that a man from Appleby died, but nothing has yet been confirmed by police.
