A man has died following a collision on the A66 yesterday.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at about 9am on the Appleby bypass, opposite Cafe Sixty Six, on the westbound carriageway.
The collision involved a Red Saloon BMW 330.
The driver, who was the only occupant in the car, a man in his 20s from Maidenhead, died at scene.
The road was closed for several hours while an investigation was conducted.
