A Penrith man, detained by a property owner, will appear in court today, accused of burglary.
Police arrested Michael Torrance 36, of Norfolk Road, at about 5am yesterday.
Officers were called by an occupant of a nearby property who had ‘detained a man’.
Torrance has been charged with burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal and two counts of burglary other than dwelling – theft.
He is to appear at North and West Magistrates today.
The charges follow burglaries at three properties in the Maidenhill area of Penrith.
