A Cumbrian mountain rescue team was called out twice in two days to help drivers stranded in the snow.
Kirkby Stephen Mountain Rescue Team was called out on Wednesday evening following their training session, to help four drivers and a recovery driver who had been unsuccessful in extracting a car from the Tan Hill road. They were brought off the high level snowbound road by Land Rover.
On Tuesday evening, they were called to help a car stuck in the snow just off the A66.
The car was successfully freed from the snow and the occupants were able to continue their journey via the A66.
