An IT firm has donated iPads and technology to help BEEP Doctors in the charity’s new headquarters.
Logic Business Systems, based in Carlisle, donated the 10 iPads to the charity, which offers skilled emergency doctors to help at the scenes of accident.
The doctors are all unpaid and are on call 24/7 – providing enhanced medical interventions which are not normally able to be provided by paramedics at the roadside, stabilising critically ill or injured patients long before they reach hospital.
Due to expansion, the charity moved to new premises in Penrith town centre in the summer.
However, the charity said there was a lack of technology and systems in place at Agricultural House to ensure the doctors would work more efficiently and that the charity could continue to grow and thrive.
The team at Logic Business Systems have supplied and configured 10 managed iPads, donated a WiFi printer which has been installed at the BEEP Doctors’ office, they have set up email accounts for all the team and have implemented a mobile device management system to manage all the devices remotely.
The team of 14 doctors cover the whole of Cumbria and into north Lancashire and southwest Scotland on occasion.
They have been called out to over 300 incidents across the county so far in 2021.
