A HGV driver has been fined £200 for taking a call while driving on the A66 at Penrith.
Eden police said it was dangerous and unacceptable to use a mobile phone without a hands-free kit.
After being stopped, the driver admitted they had taken a call from a customer.
As well as the £200, the driver had six points added to their licence.
