Penrith’s coffee maestro Karen Radcliffe had a nice surprise when TV star Helen Skelton popped by for a cuppa while she was in town.
Karen, who runs the Caffeine Rush van in the centre of town, was one of Helen’s most vocal supporters when she appeared on Strictly Come Dancing with Gorka Marquez.
The pair were regularly seen in the town as they rehearsed here for each show and often popped to see Karen for a pick-me-up. Helen lives locally.
Karen said: “It was a big surprise when she came up to the van for a coffee and we had a nice chat. She said ‘Gorka says hi!’ which was lovely.”
