A Kirkby Stephen florist has been shortlisted for a British Florist Association industry award.
Girvan’s Flower Shop is in the running to become Retail Florist of the Year and the public have until midnight on Sunday, 22nd September, to cast votes for who they think should be the winner.
Finalists will be announced on 8th October with the winners being revealed on 24th October.
Rachel Girvan and Michael Girvan first opened a florist in the town almost seven years ago and have moved twice — growing into bigger premises each time.
As well as the florist, they also run the town’s post office from their Market Square premises.
