The Eden Valley Artistic Network is hosting two performances in as many days.
As the nights grow shorter, this weekend Shap and Great Salkeld will see local creatives light up the villages with engaging shows.
The Old Courthouse in Shap is hosting some foot-stomping Friday fun with musical treat Mike Turnbull and the Safe Kings.
A spokeswoman for the venue said: “Mike Turnbull is a multi-instrumentalist with the knack for writing well-crafted modern folk songs with a story to tell.
“A singer-songwriter from the Lake District whose main instruments are tenor guitar, banjo, mandolin and octave mandola.
“Mike’s Influences are taken from his home region of the Lakes, around the UK and beyond.”
Mike is teaming up with double bassist Suzanne Ambrose and percussionist David Pennington for some original modern folk that ranges from melodic ballads to catchy energetic foot stompers.
On Saturday, local favourites The Clifford Movement will play Great Salkeld Village Hall.
A mix of stories, songs, poems, projections and puppets, the group celebrate the lives and landscapes of the Eden Valley.
Doors open at 7pm for both performances with tickets, at £5, on the door at Great Salkeld and available via janet@oldcourthouse.org for the Shap date.
