Firefighters tackled a large open air blaze near Temple Sowerby in the early hours.
Penrith fire crews were called just before 1am today, Saturday May 11, to the incident near Temple Sowerby.
On their way to the site, there were several more 999 calls about the incident, which involved a caravan, a large goods vehicle carrying a tractor and a large amount of rubbish.
Firefighters were at the scene for around two hours to extinguish the blaze.
