Firefighters are offering home safety visits in Penrith, following the death of a woman in a house fire.
On Monday, crews from Penrith and Lazonby attended a blaze on Willow Close.
A woman in her mid-80s died.
A spokesman for Penrith Fire Station said: “At present we are working closely with other agencies and showing a presence in the area carrying out free home safety visits.
“If you would like a free home safety check in your home where the crew will come in and check your smoke alarms/fit new where necessary and run through an escape plan please get in touch.”
