Firefighters, paramedics and police were called to a crash on the A66.
Emergency services attended a collision near Appleby at about 4pm yesterday and found a HGV had come off the road.
The driver and passenger suffered minor injuries and were handed over to the North West Ambulance Service.
Firefighters from Appleby Fire Station helped to make the scene safe and provided assistance to Cumbria Constabulary to reopen the road.
