BRUIN. — Peacefully, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, on Monday, 13th March, Joan Lilian, of Bampton Grange, Penrith, dearly loved wife of Ray, much loved mum of Andy and Lucy, mother-in-law of Julie and Trev and devoted “Poppy” of Tom. Aged 82 years. Funeral service at St. Patrick’s Church, Bampton Grange, on Friday, 14th April, at 1pm followed by interment in the cemetery. CARTMEL. — At the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, on Thursday, 23rd March, Nancy Elizabeth, of Threlkeld, much loved wife of Jack for 60 years, mother of Sue, Gordon, Sandy and Ei-Ei, and a dear nan, greatnan, mother-in-law, sister and auntie. Aged 78 years. Funeral service at Eden Valley Crematorium, on Tuesday, 11th April, at 2pm. Aged 92 years. A funeral service and cremation will take place at Eden Valley Crematorium, on Thursday, 6th April, at 12-30pm. HASTINGS. — Suddenly, in Mumbai, India, on Wednesday, 22nd March, Stewart, of Laithes, Penrith, dearly loved dad of Lynn and David, much loved son of June and the late Ian, step-son of John, brother of Roger and Neil, dear partner of Evelyne, father-in-law of Keith and Danielle, brother-inlaw of Jenny, granda of Daniel, Jamie, Riley and Katie, uncle of Huw and business partner of Susan. Aged 58 years. Funeral service at Eden Valley Crematorium, on Saturday, 8th April, at 11am. JACKSON. — It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christine, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, on Monday, 20th March, Christine, of Wickerslack, the devoted, loving wife and best friend of Nigel, who will be sadly missed by all her family and many friends. KENNEDY. — Peacefully, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, on Monday, 20th March, with her family by her side, Olive Mary, of Pooley Bridge, dearly loved wife of the late Joe, much loved mam of Jackie and Terry, nana of Scott, Kyle and Ashleigh, nannie of Cody, Bobby, Alexia, Tyler and Romy Jo, a dear sister and good friend to many. Aged 84 years. Funeral service at Eden Valley Crematorium, on Wednesday, 5th April, at 2pm. In honour of Olive, if you wish, ladies to wear a scarf and gentlemen to wear some colour please. Aged 93 years. Service and interment at Christ and St. Mary’s Church, Armathwaite, on Monday, 24th April, at 11am. ROYDS. — Michael, died peacefully, on Sunday, 12th March, 2023, aged 91 years. Much loved husband of Vicky for 66 years, loving father of James, Radcliffe and Sophie and proud grandfather of Tom, Rosanna, Amelia, Harry, Jack, Mollie, Orlando, Matilda and Fabian.
