Emergency services have been at work in Penrith helping to make a building safe after lead was seen coming off its roof.
A spokesman for Cumbria police said the incident in the vicinity of Southend Road, which was said to involve some lead coming off a roof, was reported at 3pm.
A police cordon was put in place while an aerial platform provided by Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service was used to help secure the building.
Kilgour Street was also closed to vehicles before reopening shortly after 4.10pm.
Cumbria has been battered by high winds and rain from Storm Isha over the last 24 hours.
