Eden’s Feel Good Festival promises a weekend of wellbeing, great food, live music and exciting activities.
Taking place at Into The Woods, Little Salkeld, near Penrith, the event which will be filled with yoga, wellbeing and meditation, as well as live music, runs from June 9 to June 11.
Gong baths and treatments will also be available, with on-site therapists offering a wide range of holistic therapies including reflexology, healing, massage and hand readings.
For youngsters there will be a children’s orienteering treasure hunt and other activities available all weekend.
Obviously, the hope is for fine, sunny weather, but should the heavens open, organisers say they have festival-goers covered.
A spokeswoman said: “Last year, we purchased a load more new event shelters to complement our existing stock. And this year, we’ve also got a very large marquee arriving.
“In addition, there’s a lovely big veranda surrounding the alpine hut, and inside the hut, there will be a log burner on the go if needed.
“If you’d prefer to stay outside, and nature is your thing, then seek shelter among the trees at our beautiful new venue, Into The Woods.
“Don’t let the prospect of a little bit of rain stop you from attending our amazing festival. Rain or shine, you won’t want to miss out.”
On the Saturday afternoon a highlight could be a family-friendly ukulele workshop with Ian K Brown.
“Be ready to sing, have fun and surprise yourself. This workshop is suitable for total beginners (aged seven to 80-plus) and those who have made a start, but cannot join chords together.
“If you have your own ukulele please bring it along, but we will also have 20 “spare” ones for people to borrow.
There is also set to be live music on offer from the likes of Sedbergh-based The Moonshine Shakers.
They are a five-piece band playing a mixture of blues, rock ‘n’ roll, country, folk and bluegrass.
Festival-goers should also look out for Shakti Dance (the Yoga of Dance) which will be Led by Tamzin McCartney. It is a flowing, rhythmic practice which meditatively co-ordinates mind, body and spirit.
Also, back by popular demand, Matrix Circus will be joining in the fun at this year’s festival.
They were very popular at last year’s event with their hula hooping, circus skills, and a fire display. Matrix Circus will be running a family hula hoop workshop plus a night time fire show.
“As with previous years, the Feel Good team are really looking forward to making the 2023 festival as exciting and diverse as possible for our lovely feel good family,” said the spokeswoman.
Into The Woods is a glamping site which has wooden covered areas, with an Alpine shed and log fire. People can buy tickets for Friday through to Sunday. Saturday only tickets are also available. There are various types of pitches available.
Food and drink-wise, catering will be provided by Lee Cooper, from Penrith’s Greenwheat café, The Sun of Seitan, from Gateshead, will offer vegan barbecue food, and Paul and Marie Proctor, of The Coffee Rambler, Kirkoswald, will be on site.
