A heritage walk and singing viaduct celebration event this weekend has been postponed.
Wet weather earlier this month has delayed essential contract works on Smardale Gill viaduct, meaning that there is no guarantee it will be open for the heritage walk on 2nd September or the singing viaduct event which was planned to run from 1st-3rd September.
Organisers at the Westmorland Dales Landscape Partnership Scheme will be rescheduling both events for a date in late September. The viaduct currently remains closed to public access.
