Eden Council is doing everything it can to reactivate its Twitter profile after the social media platform suspended the authority’s account over Christmas.
A spokesman for the district council said an automated system had been used to schedule posts over the festive period and this had been interpreted by Twitter as being “bot activity”.
“We have lodged an appeal to say that it is us,” said the spokesman.
