Traffic is queuing through Penrith town centre this morning as a temporary road closure has been put in place by Cumbria Highways.
Castlegate is closed from its junction with Corn Market, up to Castlegate roundabout for highways maintenance to take place.
The closure is expected to last up to five days with a diversion in place.
