The search for a missing man believed to be in or around Crummock Water has entered its fifth day.
Emergency services were called at around 1pm on Friday after reports that two people had got into difficulty at the water.
Cumbria police mounted an immediate search, with Coastguard, mountain rescue and other agencies.
They have been searching until about 11pm each night – for a man described as in his 30s by police – and are continuing today.
Initial reports received indicated that two people had got into difficulty but all other parties have been found safe and well, Cumbria police said.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue, North West Ambulance Service, mountain rescue, the Coastguard and North West Police Underwater search team have all been involved in the operation.
Road closures associated with the search were lifted on Sunday, police said.
