Calling all crafty young people — now is your chance to enter an exciting Herald competition as part of our first-ever Love Your Newspaper Week!
We are inviting young people aged 16 and under to use their imagination and transform an old copy of the Herald into something extraordinary.
Whether it’s a papier-mâché masterpiece, an intricate origami creation, or something entirely unexpected, there are no limits — just creativity and fun!
The competition is open to two age categories: Under-10s and 11-16 years.
The winner in each category will receive £25 and the chance to see their work displayed in our special exhibition.
The top 10 entries in each age group will be showcased in the Herald’s front office from February 14 to 28, so the whole community can admire your ingenuity!
To enter, simply create your masterpiece using an old copy of the Herald, and bring it into the office at 33 Middlegate, Penrith, or send a high quality photograph of it to news@cwherald.com by February 9.
Be sure to include your name, age, contact details and the title of your creation.
All winning entries will need to be brought into the office for display.
All entrants will also receive one of our collectable Herald Stars enamel badges for taking part.
Unleash your creativity, think outside the box, and show us how much you love your newspaper. Let’s make something amazing together!
