Staff at Penrith’s Burton and Dorothy Perkins’ store face an uncertain future as the chain’s owner has collapsed into administration.
Philip Green’s Arcadia Group went into administration last night, putting 13,000 jobs at risk across the UK.
The group also owns Topshop, Miss Selfridge, Topman and Evans.
There have been no immediate redundancies and the group’s stores and websites will continue to trade, administrations Deloitte said, while a buyer is sought for the firm.
