A burst pipe has caused some properties in Upper Eden to lose their water supply.
A United Utilities spokesman said: “There has been a burst on a water pipe in Kirkby Stephen. Our engineers have quickly attended and some properties should see their water supplies return shortly.
“We have water on wheels tankers heading to site now and the remaining properties should be back on supply this afternoon.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
