Rental properties in Appleby, which went up for sale after a local businessman went into receivership, have been sold for more than £1.2 million.
Tenants in several properties belonging to Maurice Bailey in Appleby and Hoff were left in limbo after a mixture of his residential and commercial properties were put in the hands of receivers.
A number of those properties went up for sale by auction.
SDL Property Auctions confirmed that out of nine lots for sale — some comprising more than one property — five sold.
The sale of the five lots totalled £1,236,000 plus fees.
Flats 2, 4 and 6 Eden Place, The Sands, was listed with a £100,000 guide price but sold in a post-auction deal for £84,000.
The former White Hart Hotel, Boroughgate, achieved more than double it’s £90,000 guide price, selling for £205,000.
On the same street 30 Boroughgate sold for £385,000 — £60,000 higher than listed.
Sold and exchanged on the same day was 7 Bongate which, with a £90,000 guide price, went for £118,000.
The White House, 27 Boroughgate, also achieved over its guide price of £395,000, being sold for £444,000.
Unsold lots being put back up for sale at an online auction by SDL Property Auctions on October 28 include 17 Bellvue Road, which was listed at £95,000 and is being reduced to a £78,000 guide price, and a row of properties at Hoff Cottage, Hoff, which have had £20,000 knocked off the £225,000 original guide price.
The Kings Head pub and other commercial and residential properties included in the 3 Bridge Street, Kings Head Court, listing will also go back up for auction with a £60,000 reduction on the guide price bringing it down to £410,000.
The online September auction included a large number of properties from all over the country and went on for 11 hours.
All prices quoted are plus fees.
