Harrison Holidays is celebrating the launch of phase two of its brand new leisure and entertainment complex at Wild Rose Holiday Park, near Appleby.

Indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools sitting within contemporary landscaping and sun terraces are the star attractions in this stunning new addition to the holiday park, which includes a coffee shop, farm shop, soft play and hub.

The outdoor pool area is landscaped in natural stone and decking to complement the surroundings of the Cumbrian countryside, with sun loungers poolside and on a terrace so visitors can relax and take in the views.

A huge Crittall-style window seamlessly links the inside and outside spaces, with the pool flowing from one to the other and plenty of loungers to be found indoors. Heated to a balmy 29C, the pool at Wild Rose provides an experience visitors can enjoy whatever the weather.

Also overlooking the pool and countryside backdrop is the new coffee shop, which has a large glassed balcony. Inside the main building is the farm shop, which is stocked with local produce and specialist food brands.

And an exciting new entertainment for those with younger children is the soft play area. “Spacious, bright and colourful with slides and ball pools it will make under 5s very happy,” said a spokesman. The opening of the new leisure complex sees £7 million of investment at Wild Rose Holiday Park come to fruition, with the complete refurbishment of the Coast & Country Bar and Restaurant having taken place in 2022.

William Harrison, chairman of Harrison Holidays, said: “We are extremely proud of what we have achieved at Wild Rose Holiday Park.

“The new leisure complex is a superb addition, bringing all the facilities and stylish sophistication that holidaymakers are looking for. It looks amazing inside and out, and this is testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, including our head of projects and developments, Jamie McMurrough.”

George Harrison Jr, director of Harrison Holidays, said: “We want people to enjoy the best possible experiences when they choose to holiday with Harrisons Holidays. This is the vision that has been the inspiration behind the work at Wild Rose and we are thrilled with the results.

“The new leisure park has been designed to give it a contemporary edge that adds a sense of luxury, but is also very family friendly and will be a real focal point for holidaymakers.”

Harrison Holidays has a collection of holiday parks located around the country, with destinations including Northumberland, Yorkshire and Suffolk. They are all in beautiful locations that are renowned for their coastal or country settings and have in common excellent facilities, accommodation and entertainment. The family run holiday company was established in the early 1970s and continues to be managed with the Harrison family at the helm from its head office in Preston.

Bookings for Wild Rose Holiday Park are available for summer 2023 and beyond, with lodges, caravans, and glamping hives available.
