Nearly 90 protestors gathered on Blaze Fell, just outside Armathwaite, on Saturday to voice their opposition to the proposed development of a luge attraction on the fell.
The application, first put forward in 2021 by Charles Lowther and Daniel Holder, includes a 1,500-metre luge track, service buildings, hospitality venue, cable car and parking for cars and coaches.
The protestors, aged from nine to 90, walked to the top of the fell. The aim of the protest was to both draw attention to the scale of the proposed development and the unspoilt natural beauty of the site.
The protest was scheduled to coincide with a meeting of the Strategic Planning Committee on March 20 to rule on the application.
However, the decision has again been pushed back and is due later this year.
This was a cause of frustration among protestors who said it has been over two-and-a-half years since the plan was first submitted.
