Supermarket chain Aldi has revealed it plans to invest and improve its Penrith store.
Rumours have been circulating in the town that the German-owned chain wants to make the Cavendish Way store one of Europe’s flagship outlets.
An Aldi spokesman would not confirm the rumours, but said it did plan to invest in the supermarket branch.
