A man was airlifted to hospital after falling from a ladder in Penrith this morning.
Emergency services were called at around 10.15am to Little Dockray – including the Great North Air Ambulance, which landed in the town’s Castle Park.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service said: “We’ve responded to a man who’d fallen from a ladder on Little Dockray. They were airlifted to the Royal Preston Hospital.”
Paramedics from North West Ambulance Service took the casualty in a land ambulance to Castle Park where the air ambulance was waiting to fly them to hospital.
“The medical team have gone to an incident in the town so this was as close as we could land,” said pilot Phil Lambert.
