An air ambulance has been called to a crash on the M6 after reports of a vehicle travelling on the wrong side of the carriageway.
Traffic is being held in both directions at junction 38. Motorists report that 20mph speed limits were in operation on the M6, with a warning about an “oncoming vehicle”.
An air ambulance is also believed to have been called to the scene.
Reports suggest a motorist was travelling south on the northbound carriageway.
Long delays are being reported in both directions.
