The Great North Air Ambulance was called out to an incident in Penrith.
Its critical care team was called at around 5.15pm yesterday, March 27, after reports of a medical incident. It is understood the incident happened at Morrisons.
The Great North Air Ambulance said: “We had a doctor and paramedic on board our aircraft and they arrived on scene at 5.18pm.
“Our team worked alongside the North West Ambulance Service to assess and treat a patient, and the patient was taken to hospital by the road crew, accompanied by our team.”
The air ambulance landed in Castle Park.
