A police community support officer is reviewing CCTV footage after a dog was abandoned in Penrith on Wednesday.
The animal was left tied to a railing at the town’s Gilwilly Industrial Estate on 11th November and police were informed.
A spokeswoman for Cumbria Constabulary said: “The dog was picked up by officers and is now on its way back to Scotland, to its owner.
“A local PCSO is reviewing the CCTV footage on the industrial estate.”
