Motorists faced delays on the A66 near Penrith this morning after a lorry shed offal from a load it was carrying.
The truck shed some of its load on the westbound carriageway near the turn-off to Whinfell Forest at around 9.30am and the delays were caused as Highways England workers cleared the road.
A temporary traffic system was put in place so the spillage could be cleared, which was removed at 4.21pm.
