A 26-year-old man has been arrested after reports that he threatened another man with two screwdrivers in Penrith last Friday.
The man, from Penrith, has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and threatening with a bladed article.
He has been released on police bail.
The incident was alleged to have occurred at around 4.20pm at the clock tower on Rowcliffe Lane in the town.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, in particular those who have footage.
One of the men involved is described as white, 5ft 7in, of slim build and has dark facial hair.
He is believed to be in either his late 20s or early 30s.
He was wearing a black fleece, blue denim jeans and a woolly hat with a body warmer, at the time of incident.
