A unique site overlooking Nenthead is on the market for £120,000.
The 1.1 acre site has full planning permission for a detached five-bedroom two-storey house.
The land, half-a-mile from Nenthead and five miles from Alston, is being sold by H&H Land & Estates.
Emma Smith, chartered surveyor for H&H Land & Estates, said: “The site really is an opportunity not to be missed.
“It is in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a world-renowned location, offering open heather moors, beautiful dales, upland rivers, woodlands and wildlife.”
The full planning permission granted by Eden District Council allows the change of use from agricultural land to residential use, and includes the installation of a domestic wind turbine.
Emma added: “This electricity turbine will allow the property to be energy efficient and ‘off-grid,’ which we expect will further enhance the sale for many climate conscious buyers thinking forward to a greener future.
“From those looking to escape city life and relocate to the country, or for anyone seeking space and spectacular scenery, we anticipate this site will prove keenly contested.”
The site currently contains remains of a former traditional stone build dwelling house, known as High House.
An additional adjoining field of 6.96 acres is also available for purchase by separate negotiation.
