Farmers were delighted to be back out with their livestock again at today’s Cumberland Show, held for the first time at Warwick-on-Eden.
One of the happiest was Sean Mitchell, of Grassknop, Skelton, who took the overall beef breeds championship in the cattle section with his in calf Charolais heifer Harestone Rapunzel.
The 26-month-old heifer was bought by Sean at Carlisle and she was making her debut at the Cumberland Show.
