The online version of Dufton’s Fellside Royal show attracted an impressive total of 225 entries across 22 classes, with the prettiest dog competition bringing in no fewer than 29.

Judges said the entries had been of a very good standard, and the organisers received a lot of support from followers of the show and many messages of thanks for staging the event.

Show secretary Amy Titterington said: “We put classes 21 and 22 on our Facebook page so the public could vote for the winners. This was really well supported as we had hundreds of votes.

“For the exhibition on Saturday we had a steady influx of people throughout the day and donations received amounted to £185.99.

“This will go towards next year’s show — fingers crossed it will go ahead — on Saturday, 28th August.”

Amy added: “We are thankful for the support we’ve had and it shows Dufton show has loyal followers even when we can’t hold an actual show.”
