The host of the Rock & Roll Farming podcast is set to switch roles when he becomes the next guest to feature on Armstrong Watson’s An Audience With… series.
Farmers Weekly columnist Will Evans, who is passionate about giving farming and farmers a voice, will share his story with the Cumbrian accountancy firm’s head of agriculture Andrew Robinson on June 30 at 7pm.
During the hour-long live webinar, which is the sixth episode in the farming series, the dad-of-four will talk about some of the inspiring people he’s interviewed in the four years since launching his podcast.
He’ll also discuss his passion for the industry and share more about his family’s mixed farming enterprise near Wrexham, Wales.
Will’s family has farmed there for hundreds of years and now produces beef cattle and arable crops on 340 acres.
Andrew said: “We are absolutely delighted Will is our next Audience With… guest. If you haven’t listened to Will’s weekly podcast you’re missing out.
“He’s interviewed over 180 people covering a multitude of topics from regenerative farming, agri contracting and organic farming to rural crime, agroforestry and everything in-between.
“Through his incredible, diverse, inspiring roster of guests from every agri sector and corner of the UK, Will has great insight into our industry and this is definitely one not to be missed.”
Will, who is also Oxford Farming Conference director and a former British Farming Awards winner, said: “British farming is about many things – world-renowned landscapes, ground-breaking innovation and technology and incredible and varied livestock.
“But mostly it’s about people. The people who get up early in the morning and put their hearts and souls into what they do every single day.”
A year after launching his podcast, Will co-founded eatfarmnow.com, which brings together all the best farming content, showcasing British food and how it is produced, and led to him being crowned Emerging Leader at the industry awards in 2018.
An Audience With… aims to help bolster future success in agriculture.
Running during 2021, it will feature industry experts and local farmers, who will discuss important issues in the world of farming and the ways they’ve been able to transform their businesses.
